Macaroni Pasta Glasgow

Macaroni comes in the shape of narrow tubes, with them originating from Italy and being made with Durum wheat. Macaroni is generally cut in short lengths, however, if it is cut in lengths with a curve it is usually called elbow macaroni.

There are loads of people in Glasgow who tend make macaroni using home machines, however, like most pasta macaroni is usually made commercially by large-scale extrusion. The curved shape with macaroni is caused by the different speeds on opposite sides of the pasta tube as it is coming out of the machine.
